Another blogger and I were recently talking about, hold up, lemme go look at the IM convo…About fairs which quickly turned to talks of conventions. I’ve gone to enough fairs and conventions so I pretty much know that it’s about selling. The Goal, which is a great book, is to make money by selling whatever product you’re pushing. Companies send representatives to fairs to sell stuff. Again, we go back to the goal of making money. If you haven’t been reading for a while, I’m one goal oriented person. Even if my goal is to have a good time! But then I started thinking about the process of selling. Walmart is evil and sells a bunch of crap. Yet, they have managed a take-over. If Oprah ever teels up with Walmart, it’s a wrap. N president or super power will be able to defeat that union. I digress. Is it a secret I’ve had more than two jobs. On some level, a resume and interview is nothing more than a sales pitch. Not only that, but I’ve been known to get people to buy into concepts they were initially against. Good times.
